Gay couple married despite Ohio ban

A federal judge recently ruled the state of Ohio must recognize the out-of-state marriage of two men even though that state bans same-sex marriages.

That landmark ruling could now open the floodgates for same-sex marriages in the 35 other states with similar marriage bans.

President Obama defends surveillance program

In a press conference, President Obama tried to get ahead of the Edward Snowden controversy and show more transparency in America's spy programs.

"America is not interested in spying on ordinary people. Our intelligence is focused above all on finding the information that's necessary to protect our people and in many cases protect our allies. Its true, we have significant capabilities," Obama added, "Whats also true is we show a restraint that many governments around the world don't think to do.

The new face of terror: Who is Nasser al-Wuhayshi?

President Obama says al Qaeda is not as strong as it used to be.

"This tightly organized and centralized al Qaeda that attacked us is broken apart and very weak and not a lot of operational capacity but al Qaeda can cause a threat and kill some people."

CNN has learned the 19 U.S. embassies and consulates that were closed around the world was because of a plot planned by Nasser al-Wuhayshi, the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen, who's quickly risen in the ranks and is becoming enemy No. 1.

Police in Idaho find car that belongs to the murder suspect

Police in Idaho have found the car of murder and kidnapping suspect, James DiMaggio and are searching a remote area of woods near Cascade in hopes of finding him and 16-year-old Hannah Anderson.

The car was found after witnesses saw two people resembling DiMaggio and Anderson on Wednesday.

Authorities hunt for Amber Alert suspect, girl in Idaho wilderness

The FBI and local authorities have flooded the area and are hoping to find the two before they lose daylight.

OutFront: Don Borelli, he's a former member of the FBI's joint terrorism task force and the COO of the Soufan group. Erin Runnion, her 5 year-old daughter Samantha was abducted from her front lawn in 2002 and she was found murdered a day later. She now runs the Joyful child foundation which is dedicated to preventing crimes against children.
