The Number: Nyad swims into record books

Diana Nyad is being celebrated as a hero this week for her amazing record-setting swim.

The 64-year-old woman spent almost 53 hours swimming 110 miles from Cuba to Florida. It was the longest distance swim in history, and she did it without a shark cage. During the trek she also had to deal with "currents, shipping lanes, reefs and swarms of jellyfish" – any one of which could have derailed her attempt. FULL POST

The very present dangers of "Molly"

Tonight we're taking another look at the dangers of Molly, an old drug with a hip new name and its popularity is surging with deadly consequences.

It's the street name for a pure form of the active ingredient in the drug ecstasy and was a factor in two overdose deaths at an electronic music festival in New York City this weekend.

Molly has been glamorized by celebrities like Kanye West and Miley Cyrus, but what is driving this new dangerous trend? Kyung Lah is Outfront tonight with the story.

Basketball diplomacy: Dennis Rodman returns to North Korea

Dennis Rodman continues to be a star at basketball diplomacy.

The former athlete returned to North Korea today for the second time this year, raising speculation he may be trying to negotiate the release of jailed american, Kenneth Bae.

But walking through the Beijing airport, Rodman insisted his trip is all about basketball and visiting his "friend," North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

The Number: A 132 million dollar man

The talk of the day on Twitter yesterday was about a world-record $132 million paycheck. That's right, a single paycheck, for this young man right here – Gareth Bale, a soccer player and the MVP of the British Premier League.

Real Madrid decided they needed him, and were prepared to spend a LOT of money to get him. He follows other famous players who defected to Madrid, like David Beckham.

And yes, Bloomberg news reports the $132 million is being paid in one single check. Insane, huh? FULL POST
