Sen. Manchin: "There is no guarantee boots won't be on the ground" in Syria

President Obama now says diplomacy, not strikes could be the way to go. And in another stunning about face, Syria says it's on board.

It's willing to turn over its chemical weapons to the international community.

    On the one hand, every moralistic part of me yells, "How many women and children have to shed their blood before we, the Shining City on a Hill, do SOMETHING about it?" On the other hand, my roommate & one of my best friend is in the Air Force, and the last thing I want is for him to be shipped into harm's way halfway around the world.

    I guess that's what Merriam Webster would call "Ambivalence."
