The 911 call that led to the death of an ex-FAMU player

Newly released 9-1-1 tapes are shedding light on what happened on Saturday morning, when Jonathan Ferrell, a former Florida A&M football player, was shot and killed by a Charlotte, North Carolina police officer.

Charlotte police kill ex-FAMU player who may have been running to them for help

The officer was charged with voluntary manslaughter.

A police investigation found Ferrell was unarmed and might have actually been approaching the officer for help after crashing his car.
