Woman alleges cop hurled her into cell, shattering bones

A 47-year-old woman has filed a lawsuit against a police department outside Chicago - claiming police violently hurled her into a jail cell after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Surveillance video from March appears to show officers tossing Cassandra Feuerstein into her cell with such force she fell into a concrete bench.

After hitting her head, she is seen lying motionless for several seconds before officers come to her aid.

Feuerstein claims authorities originally charged her with resisting a police officer to explain why she was thrown into the cell.

But that charge that was later dropped.

Sen. Ted Cruz urges GOP to stick with Obamacare fight

Ted Cruz the 'de facto leader' of the Republican party, says President of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins.

The Texas Senator is the driving force behind the Republican push to tie the government shutdown to Obamacare - is calling on his party to stay firm in its fight.

Cruz rallied his tea party base at a conservative forum in Washington - poking fun at his meeting with President Obama at the White House.

"So after leaving here I am going to be going to the White House. I will make a request: If I am never seen again please send a search and rescue team. I very much hope tomorrow morning I don't wake up amidst the Syrian rebels," Cruz said.
