"Double Down" book details relationship between Obama and Clinton

Among them, President Obama's advisers secretly considered replacing Vice President Joe Biden ont he ticket with then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to capitalize on her poll numbers.

That's according to "Double Down", a soon to be released book by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.

And that isn't the only Clinton-Obama drama recounted in the book.

The book also details the long-strained relationship between Obama and former president Bill Clinton.

The New York Times obtained a copy of the book and summarizes it:

"When the two of them golfed together in September 2011, an effort aides hoped would bring them closer, they did not even finish 18 holes. Mr. Obama succinctly expressed his view of Mr. Clinton to an aide after coming off the course at Andrews Air Force Base. “Obama grimaced and replied, ‘I like him ... in doses,’ ” the authors write."

Please do not let the Obama administration get away with calling all the cancelled health insurance policies as "substandard" or "cut rate". I am a 61 year old single male with an individual policy with Anthem. I have just been informed that my policy will expire in 2014, because it does not meet the minimal criteria set forth by the so-called Affordable Health Care Act. I can assure you that having worked in the health care field for 30 years and with a good working knowledge of health care issues, my policy is not a substandard or cut rate policy. It has a sizable deductible but otherwise provides great coverage once the deducible is met and has a health savings account associated with it. I was told by my insurance rep that when my policy is cancelled I will have to go to the Obama exchange and purchase a "qualified" policy that will provide me with pediatric care (my kids are 30 and 28) and obstetrical care(DUH?). Only the federal government could come up with something this stupid. A brief search at healthcare.gov was all that was necessary to see that my premium will skyrocket.
The Obama administration is cramming these "good for all" policies down our throats.
This is an Unaffordable Health Care Act.

"[Abraham Lincoln] had to tell his little stories and smile his s***-eating back country grin, and he did it all just so he could have the opportunity to one day stand before the nation and appeal to the Better Angels of our Nature.

And that's where the bull stops. That's what it's all about — so we have the opportunity to do it the right way."
