Snowden: NSA reform justify leaks

NSA Leaker Edward Snowden is defending leaking top-secret documents on U.S. surveillance programs. He says the calls for reforms to the National Security Agency prove his leaking was justified.

In an article titled, "A Manifesto for the Truth" in the German magazine Der Spiegel, Snowden writes in part, "Citizens have to fight against the suppression of information about affairs of essential importance for the public. Those who speak the truth are not committing a crime."
