Child in "Thug Cycle" video to stay with mom

The so-called "thug" baby is back with his mother.

An Omaha juvenile court decided Monday that the two-year old and his 17-year-old will both be placed with the same foster family.

Toddler in cursing video will remain with mother, judge rules

They two have been in protective custody ever since the video of the toddler unleashing a lewd tirade went viral after the Omaha police union re-posted it with a commentary of the quote "terrible cycle of violence and thuggery."

CNN's George Howell is in Omaha with more on decision.

I'm so sad that one more child has died because of child abuse. When do we take this issue seriously? When do we quit murdering children and/or destroying their ability for any future?
My brother was beat to death in 1963. My surviving siblings were repeatedly beat, verbally and emotionally abused, and everything good within their spirit was nearly destroyed.
And that, was only after they were put into protective custody and became "Wards of the state".
Imagine the abuse they suffered before they became victims of the foster care system.
That is what our politicians and society has allowed by not stepping up and demanding a more compassionate system that considers what is in the "best interest of the child" and truly provides children protection from abuse.
