Will Obamacare cost 2.5 million jobs?

According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, the President's signature health care law could reduce the labor force by 2.5 million.

Republicans immediately pounced.

"The CBO report today – devastating. Two million fewer jobs as a result of the Obama health care law," U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) said.

But, not surprisingly Democrats are crying foul.

"The Republicans talk about losing millions of jobs simply isn't true," Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said.

So how damaging is this report to President Obama?

Erin – I was just watching your show regarding loss of jobs in healthcare industry. I missed your guests names...I totally disagree with your guest on the left. He is not living a middle class life. I was laid off 4 months ago from my insurance company I worked at for 15 years. This company has been gearing up for Obama care for two years. There had been hundreds laid off in several states and some jobs are being outsourced to India. I think the government us lying about the state if our economy. Because I am on unemployment I can't afford insurance so I am choosing to take the penalty. I take found a discount prescription company but still am paying $250/mo for then. I have a mortgage to pay as well as high utilities, etc. where is my bailout is what I would like to say to the government. They are elected officials and are not representing what the public wants. I have had this conversation with a lot of my friends who agree. As a middle class citizen working hard I don't think I should have to pay for illegal immigrants, and people who abuse the system. It actually has lowered wages in some jobs in my state because the cost of Obama Care and the major irresponsibility of my state particularly who could not administer it properly, costing tax payers money, not to mention the Administrations ability to administer this. We as tax papers should not be liable. Take the lifetime insurance away from our government Senators, Representatives, etc! Our government is so crooked, out of touch and frankly it's been an embarrassment being an American due the appalling actions of our government. thank you for programs like yours that presents both sides.
