Report: Diary shows Hoffman troubled by "demons"

According to NBC news, Philip Seymour Hoffman's private thoughts reveal how he was troubled by "demons," struggled to control them with narcotics anonymous meetings and was addicted to heroin.

Hoffman is believed to have died from a heroin overdose after police found him in his apartment with a needle in his arm on February 2nd.

According to NBC, multiple sources familiar with the contents of his diaries say the late actor's entries were "hard to read, with scribbled lines, and had sentences that run into each other."
