Teen: My father killed Jeffery Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer was a horrific serial killer.

The man who killed Dahmer in prison was also a convicted murderer.

But that man had a son. And he's been paying the price for his father's crime his whole life.

He's now speaking out for the first time.

CNN's Jean Casarez has the story OutFront.

Murder is murder. The son did not murder anyone. His father did. The 4 guards who were supposed to be watching over the detail were.t. The killer was not retrieved from his cell until the next day. The guards, all well shy of retirement age, mysteriously could afford to retire shortly after the murder. There was nothing heroic or just about the murder of Jeffrey Dahmer. If you wanted him dead, then the state dropped the ball. Even Dahmer thought he should die. That's why he fought to be allowed into general population. Seems sick for some readers to be celebrating a convicted murderer killing again. Dahmer was sentenced to life in prison, not the death penalty. The guards on that detail should have been charged, not payed.

I don't see anything bad at all. The kid is just trying to make something of his life. It's a miracle he reached out to his dad and his dad was able to help him find his way. From prison. Where's the harm in that? And the world didn't need Jeffrey Dahmer in it anyway.

Dahmer got what he deserved in prison, plain and simple.

This son is actually scary to me. The way he starts smiling when the reporter talks about his father killing Dahmer. And then he says he actually wonders whether his father did it??? He still clings to this thread that his father is innocent and coming home, no matter that his father didn't even plead not guilty. He is obviously proud of his father for murdering Dahmer, which is disturbing. And he doesn't think his dad killed 2 more in prison for a total of 3? my goodness...

I cannot understand why anyone would find this young man "scary". Honestly, I find CSJr. inspiring. What a wonderful program, what a moving story. I wish him well and feel certain he will go on to do great things. What a shining spirit.
