Flight 370 Theory: Could it have ditched into the ocean?

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Friday that officials are confident that the signals they are detecting are from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370's black box.

Could jet's descent have shaped debris field?

But 35 days since the aircraft went missing - not single piece of debris have been found.

Could the plane have ditched into the ocean intact?

CNN's Erin Burnett talks to Richard Quest and Aviation Analyst Miles O'Brien about the intact-ditching theory.

Hi Erin how are you ? We are all saddened by the flight 370 tragedy; A suggestion for identifying aircraft or vessels lost under the sea-We hear of pinging from the black ? box which comes in different forms–One is a 35,5 kc or so pulse at
1 second intervals, another we hear of is a continuous one.If this can be done why not have the craft identify itself with pings emitted in the INTERNATIONAL MORSE CODE- Malaysian flight 370 's coded ping could identify it and remove one reason for sending aircraft and ships looking for it.
Positive identification of a lost craft would somewhat settle grieving relatives Sympathy of the world is poured out onto them all-Let us do whatever we can to prevent or lessen happenings like this again, m dales 4 13 014

I think investigators would be able to check ocean weather buoys in the area for conditions, wave/sea heights at the time and be able to determine if that would be a possibility.

If you continue this ad nausuem coverage of Malaysia Flight 370, you will have the credibility of Geraldo Rivera after he opened Al Capone's secret vault! There are a lot of other things happening in the world, which you are ignoring.
I have admired your show for years, but if this continues another week, I will be forced to watch Fox at 7 p.m.!

Re: Black boxes... I fail to see why, along with the pings emitted, there can't be an identification number transmitted linking each black box with its parent aircraft... and why the battery power cannot be extended to at least 90 days... both can be done and should be an upgrade mandated by the FAA... ASAP.
