Joining us tonight to discuss the new questions around the validity of the pinger data in the MH370 search are CNN aviation analysts Miles O'Brien and Arthur Rosenberg and CNN safety analyst David Soucie.
Credibility of views would be enhanced if David Soucie would stop referring to 33 megaherz as the pinger frequency and,
instead (as have Miles O'Brien and Arthur Rosenberg correctly said) describe the pinger frequency as 33 kiloherz.
33 MHz is 1000 times as high as 33 kHz. The 9-msec 37.5 kHz ping seems to be the standard from what I have read.
Erin Burnett OutFront airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET. Designed to showcase Erin's unique style--casual, smart, and confident--OutFront stays ahead of the headlines, delivering a show that's in-depth and informative.
