Amazon drones preparing for takeoff despite new FAA guidelines

Amazon's latest innovation - the delivery drone - is coming.

There were a lot of reports today that the FAA was going to get in the way of Amazon's plans by banning the devices, which could deliver a package in less than 30 minutes.

Our producers did some digging, and it turns out, that's not the case. The current FAA ban on deliveries does not apply to companies. That means Amazon still has a lot of money and power riding on this technology.

CNN's Richard Quest joins Erin Burnett to discuss the FAA's new guidelines on drones.

    this has to be the best or maybe funniest out front segment I have watched to date.
    Richard having a hard time controlling his drone and Erin just laughing.
    hope Richard has drone insurance to cover that accident ,lol.
