Brittany Maynard, advocate for 'death with dignity,' chooses to end her life

"Love and peace to you all."

That was 29-year-old Brittany Maynard's final public statement before choosing to end her life on Saturday. The newlywed took a lethal dose of drugs available under Oregon's "death with dignity" law.

The terminally ill woman became the face of the assisted suicide movement when her emotional video explaining her choice earned more than 9 million views on YouTube and sparked an international debate about end of life decisions.
