Demonstrators took to the streets Friday for another night of protests in New York and across the country.
The outrage is centered on claims of excessive force by police after a grand jury decide to no indict in the chokehold death of Eric Garner. In New York City, the police department is launching a new program outfitting dozens of officers with body cameras with the hope that it will offer new protection to not only citizens but officers as well.
Police body cams: Will they really help?

We have these on some police in the UK, they seem useful. They may not be a total solution, but would perhaps be a step in the right direction?
I'm pretty skeptical about the value of getting more cameras than we already have. The disconnect between the people in communities like Ferguson and the police wasn't caused by a lack of cameras, and it probably won't be solved by more of them. The Eric Garner incident was all recorded, but it didn't make any difference. The cop still wasn't indicted. According to Lisa Bloom most Americans get their picture taken over a hundred times a day now. All those traffic light cameras have mostly had the effect of charging people steep fines for minor traffic offenses. Maybe the local governments need the money because nobody wants to pay their taxes any more, but there's got to be a better way to address the problem.
Would an off duty officer be required to wear a camera while intending to kill someone?
About 90 percent of Arab stores sell loosie cigarettes Illegally in NYC. Why the police isnt choking them. Racist world. Destroy the black man its easy to get away with. Smh
